Update - heard so much chatter about the book that I did, in the end, read it. It has quite a few twists and turns to keep you on your toes, a very bright little girl and a very determined young woman.
The violence toward the end of the book is pretty graphic and wince inducing, but by then it's too late to put the book down without knowing how it ends.
