Idgie Says: I recently reviewed the first book in this series, The Darkest Corner, and stated that while their was a bit too much in the way of filler writing, the characters and story was interesting enough to continue reading the series.
I am pleased to say that not only is there less filler in this novel, but the characters are even more fun and interesting than the first book. Elias and Miller are great together. The story line is a bit far fetched, but this is escapist fiction so you just go with it and enjoy the story.
I'm definitely invested enough to continue reading as each new book in the series comes out. I want to know how their tenuous living circumstances resolves in the end for all of them.
