The Dare and The Doctor was a fun romp of a romance involving two people who are not super sophisticated and spot on with the ways of the upper class. Both more scientifically minded, the way they "ought" to act is not frequently at the forefront of their mindset, leading to many amusing moments.
I learned more than I ever thought about what a bullet wound does to internal organs and how fish heads help plants so there is an educational aspect to the story also. :)
The characters from The Game and The Governess and The Lie and the Lady feature prominently in this novel also, providing a nice feeling of intimacy with friends and family.
