It really cracks me up that they keep republishing these vintage V.C. Andrews books and then writing follow up books in the series. There is a heavy nostalgia value to these oh so naughty/nasty books that none of us were supposed to be reading when they came out, we all had them snuck under beds and left in the locker at school.
I do find it odd that V.C. Andrews is now just a copyrighted name and that all of the new books are written by others, but I'm sure the continue to titillate today's youth or they wouldn't continue churning them out.
Apparently they are also quite successful on Lifetime too!
