Idgie Says:This is the 10th book in an ongoing series of a detective who is rather in the vein of Sherlock Holmes, but with a family life and good friends - not so much of a loner - this is a fun to read 18th century mystery murder/who done it type of read. A very nice escapist read.
While this is a stand alone novel (thank goodness - I hate when I am lost because I didn't read the first books), I wouldn't mind going back to the earlier books in the series and learning a little bit more about his life.
